Artist's Comments

For a fortnightly theme on Y!gallery, which was, obviously, 'milksop' (the idea is to take the theme and draw something around/relating to it. I used the bread-soaked-in-milk definition). This was a good chance for me to try out a different technique. I wasn't very neat with it, though. I really would like to shape up my anatomy skills, so any constructive crit is appriciated 8-)

Open Canvas and Photoshop.

I like it a lot, actually. The only thing I think it's kinda weird's the face, but nothing much... everything's really, really nice. Love your colouring <3 :3

First off, it's beautiful. The only thing somewhat off is that his side look like it connects to the fish part as the stomach. You just need some defining side lines. In fact, just one would probably be enough.

You're lacking musculature in the arm; there's very little differentiation between the shoulder, the upper arm, and the lower. Also, elbows (while giant pains in the butt) are important in marking the arms. Other than that, I don't see any real problems. The spine might be a little too loosely curved, but I personally don't have a problem with that in animorphic creatures. :D

Nifty milk-mermaids!
